Sponsors and Advertisers -Starting Early

Howdy Smithereens! I think this is the time of year where businesses may be making some budgeting decisions for the following year. The holidays have not created the usual stress yet and people might feel comfortable making a financial commitment when the bill is due a few months out. Unless you disagree, I don't want to start our planning meetings until January yet I would suggest we get a jump start on landing commitments for sponsors and advertisers. It would be cool to have some commitments locked down early and we can chase new money in the new year. I'm aware we need a Sponsorship Chair and I am open to suggestions. Linda provided me a link to contributors and points of contact at smithregatta.com/smithregatta/donations/. If you click on "List All Records" over on the right side, it produces a great list.

Bow Stern is in for whatever they did last year, Tom thinks either $500 or $1000 but I see they did $2000 not too long ago. I'm in for a $250 donation and my employer will match with $250 Beachton Yacht Club declined. Great work everyone !

Prime Meridian is in for another year at $1000 plus billboard. I doubt that Centennial will increase beyond $500, but Sachs Media has indicated a desire to possibly return to sponsorship. Stay tuned.
