Bucket of Cheer #3 - Oyster City Beer on Ice

Thanks to Gena, we already have some beer for this one. Some of us were discussing getting an inexpensive, but not styrofoam, cooler to have the beers iced down on the day of the chance drawing to entice people to buy more tickets! Looking for a volunteer to make sure this is ready to go day of Auction.

This is no issue because Tri-Eagle distributes Oyster City beer and there will be Oyster City beer on tap at the beer truck. There was an issue with Heineken at the Endless Summer because they use a different distributor so we nixed their offer.

I gave the cooler(acceptable to him) for the beer so he has it.....Stan

There is not going to be an issue. Oyster City donated I think it was only 4-5 packs (Bob already has them so my friends don't drink them) of cold beer (I think dirty blondes which are $11+/pk so we don't want them to get warm and re-chill). Thus, the brilliant idea of having a third chance ticket option. They also donated merchandise for a basket as well. Tri-Eagle is their distributor. There is no cause for an issue unless WE make one. Also... Dear Mr. Finney, please don't discount Mangrove for the truck! XO ;)

Thanks Linda that is good to hear.

Yes, Tri-Eagle is their distributor….I don’t thing the basket would be an issue since Oyster City gave it to us directly to support the event and would be a big draw because so many people like Oyster City. However, if Wright thinks this would create some sort of ripples with Tri-Eagle then we can reconsider.

Good point Andrea. I believe TriEagle is their distributor still. Know beer truck served Hooter Brown and Mangrove in the past.

Although a gem, That should say thanks to Gena, not gems! Lol

Thanks to gems and oyster city. However, please keep in mind our beer truck sponsor tri-eagle sales. May I suggest Wright has a voice in promoting another beer. Thanks.

I recommend the same price $5 each or 5 tickets for $20. Pull from the one pile of tickets for all items, whether we have 1, 2 or 3. It should make the logistics simplier.

Bucket of Beer......what some of us talked about later after the meeting was to .. buy a cooler(not yetti)...have the beer iced down in it and buy a few more different types of Oyster City to ad to it...then auction it as a special item...with the cooler, iced down......not sure how many cans Dena has or how much it cost....but it would be very popular bidding item......or we could just have it as a 3rd item after the booze and wine buckets.....and be sure to ad some huggers to it. Valid point. We could just make it a basket to bid on in the auction. Back to Two Buckets of Cheer: 1 liquor and 1 wine

Guess I missed this being a 3rd drawing. Don't know how much beer you are talking about. Oyster City usually sells for about $11-12 a six pack. Should the Chance Draw tickets for this be the same price? ($5each or 5 for $20) Should all three "buckets" be in the mix? When we had 2 buckets before, it was just a 2nd ticket drawn from the big group.

If Jon or someone can get the ice on them in the cooler, my team can keep an eye on ice/put on table under tent shade as we sell tickets. Gotta keep 'em cold! OR Marianne, if we could get a sign that said: COLD Oyster City Beer Chance Tickets ... with an arrow pointing down we can keep it underneath the table in the shade .... IDK thinking out loud.
