2025 Event Schedule - Dates and Deadlines

  • January 25 – “Save the Date” email goes out
  • February 17 - Meeting - Casa Grande Margaritas & Cocina - 6:30pm
  • March 1 - “Save the Date Reminder Email“
  • March 1 - Last date for Sponsorships
  • March 10 - Meeting - Casa Grande Margaritas & Cocina - 6:30pm
  • March 17 – On-line Early registration starts
  • March 17– Deadline for what goes in booklet
  • March 24 - Meeting - Casa Grande Margaritas & Cocina - 6:30pm
  • ????? – Deadline for sign requests to Marianne
  • April 14 - Meeting - Casa Grande Margaritas & Cocina
  • April 9 – Early registration closes
  • April 23 – On-line Registration Closes at Noon

Wrap-Up Mtg and Appreciation Dinner Potential Dates

Please check your calendars for Saturday, May 20th or Sunday, May 21st for the Wrap-Up Meeting and for the Volunteer/Sponsor Appreciation Dinner on Saturday, June 17th. Both will be held in Shell Point at ABYC. Thx!

Angel, My sister arrives on that Sunday morning after not seeing her for three years! I am sorry, but I will not be able to make the meeting (unless she decides that a regatta meeting is a good use of her time ;-). However, I will be glad to join for the appreciation dinner and provide any assistance you need for that.

Hello Smith Regatta Volunteers, Liz and I checked our calendars and we have family visiting May 19 thru the 24th so we will have to miss the Smith Regatta wrap up meeting. Our Calendar is wide open for the Appreciation dinner on the 17th. Has any found a cell phone charger? We were using it to keep the phone charged while using the hot spot to run my lap top during the Auction on Sunday when we were assisting Deb in the tent. I remember taking it with us along with the printer and laptop but so far have not found the charger. I think I may have dropped it between the tent and our car. Liz and I really enjoyed the whole weekend. Sorry for the long message. -- David "Rick" Upson

Have a SPSC practice day that doesn't get over until 3 on Sunday, so 4 is still better. However, I really don't need to be there as my lovely wife will be attending.

Based on your feedback, it sounds like we can hold the Spring SCSMR Foundation Meeting just prior to the Smith Regatta Wrap-Up Meeting on Sunday, May 21st at ABYC in Shell Point. Let’s start at 2:00 PM, unless I hear otherwise. I didn’t realize the June 17th date coincided with Father’s Day weekend; however, it is the only Saturday available to us in the month of June.

Note that we normally have the Spring SCSMR Foundation meeting just prior to the wrap-up meeting. Please schedule the Foundation meeting for 30 minutes prior to the wrap-up meeting. We really do need Linda and Deb (Foundation Executive Committee Treasurer and Secretary, respectively) present at this meeting. I am OK with either May 20 or 21 for the Foundation and wrap-up meetings, although I prefer Sunday, May 21. Regarding the Sponsors and Volunteers party, Saturday, June 17 is fine with me.
